Anyone who has always wanted to watch live streams on their Nintendo Switch can now finally do so. However, as almost always in life, there is a catch.
Switch owners can now finally enjoy live streams on Nintendo Switch. The official Twitch app is now available for download in the eShop. The app allows you to watch live streams in both dock and handheld mode. The usual features after login, such as your followed channels, are of course available.
There is one catch, however, because the chat history cannot be viewed while watching a stream. To do this, you have to scan a QR code with your smartphone and you can then follow the chat there. And of course the app doesn’t give you the option to stream via Twitch yourself.
Quite apart from that, the implementation of the Twitch app is a welcome addition – the Switch isn’t exactly bursting with streaming services.
