Godfall was one of the few launch titles for the PlayStation 5, but it only attracted a few dogs from behind the stove. Now the developers have come up with something new to give the game a little boost.
Godfall was pretty much a zero number at the PS5 launch. Not a really bad game, but not really good either. In view of the meager sales figures despite the accompanying PC version, the developers are still trying to make the game a little more popular. Two major updates have already been released, Primal in February and Lightbringer in August, as well as a full expansion with Fire & Darkness. Even a PS4 version was added.
Now the developers have come up with something new to give the game a little boost. Apparently, a temporarily free Challenger edition of the game will appear in December on PlayStation Plus and in the Epic Games Store. This is apparently a special version that has been reduced to story and campaign. To do this, you jump right into the endgame with a maximum level of 50 and plenty of weapons and skill points.
However, the free period is limited. PlayStation Plus subscribers can buy it between December 7th and January 31st, in the Epic Games Store it comes as a free game of the week from December 9th to 16th. Apart from that, it will be available for a low price under 20 dollars.
