These usually happen to celebrate some first-party content that recently launched on the Nintendo Switch, which is usually a game, and the theme you can unlock during the event is usually based on what the first-party content is.
Well, Nintendo has announced Tetris 99‘s 27th Maximus Cup, and this one is no exception to the typical patterns that happen with Maximus Cups. It will begin on December 9th. This time, the theme is based on Mario Party Superstars. Mario Party Superstars had released on the Nintendo Switch back in October.
