You probably know this from real life. You have driven hundreds of super sports cars, in the seat of your Koenisegg Jesko you can already see your butt print, in the evening you sit on the promenade of your Riviera villa and ask yourself: What’s next?
Forza Horizon 5 simulates your success as a driver via the so-called Global Influence System
. It’s a fancy name, but basically only means your player level, i.e. the thing that ticks up every few races and rewards you with wheelspins. But is there actually a maximum level? And what do I do when I achieve that?
It’s good that you ask, because that Forza Horizon 5 Prestige System has its own peculiarities.
Max Level: At which rank is the end?
In Forza Horizon 5 you get experience points for everything. So really for everything. You can ram 1,000 cacti in the Mexican desert and you will be rewarded for it. For every level up there is a wheelspin, which gives you either new cars, emotes, chat messages or cash on your claw via the wheel of fortune. but at level 200 it is over. Then you will automatically and inevitably be moved back to level 1. It will look like that:
So you see: From rank 200, the so-called prestige system takes effect.
How does Prestige work in Forza Horizon 5?
As in many multiplayer games, the level numbers do not simply tick to infinity, but at some point you switch to the world of prestige ranks. In concrete terms: From Prestige Rank 1, you will be downgraded to Level 1 and will have to level again from the beginning. This time, however, it takes longer to reach a new level. And the maximum level will also be increased to 300.
If you crack the magical 300, you will be downgraded again and from now on you will be on Prestige Rank 2. Here too: The maximum level is increased, you need a little longer than before your prestige time to reach new levels. And from level 400 – you guessed it – you will be reset to level 1 with prestinge rank 3. Before that gets too confusing, here’s a table:
Prestige-Rang | maximum level |
---|---|
0 | 200 |
1 | 300 |
2 | 400 |
3 | 500 |
4 | 600 |
5 | 750 |
6 | 850 |
7 | 900 |
8 | 1000 |
9 | 1500 |
10 | 2999 |
What is this system good for?
So you see: you don’t have to worry about bumping your head at the maximum level at some point. We easily needed 50 hours of play to get to the first Prestige rank – and unfortunately the leveling from Prestige 1 really slows down noticeably. You reach new levels much more slowly, consequently there are fewer wheelspins and the hunt for new cars is getting tougher and tougher.
Since you have probably driven every course in the open world once and have long since landed in the hall of fame, Forza Horizon 5 becomes a noticeably more grind-heavy experience from the Prestige rank. Thanks to the excellent festival playlist There is always something to do, but be prepared for the fact that the hunt for wheelspins will get tougher over time. In our opinion, it would not have needed the reduced level speed. Getting to level 2999 should take hundreds of hours.
