Question for you: Once you realize what you are able to see in your own eyes – that is, your dispersed thoughts, such as what to do for lunch, whether to cross the street, or when it's time to hit the pillow – what do you hear? That is, do you hear your voice in your head? Or hear nothing?
A recently published blog post entitled "Today I Learned That Not Everyone Has Internal Money And Wrecked My Day," featured a viral tweet that has been repeated by dozens of bots on Twitter. In short, Touch noted that some people "hear" the internal narratives while others – somehow in disbelief at myself and several other colleagues.
I, for example, am a person who feels my thoughts in a way that is almost like a conversation, such as an interview. I can describe my thoughts as a kind of conversation with a friend, but a friend is your opinion. When I speak, for example, I hear the words in my mind, even as I write this blog myself. I also hear the words, however, when I make a general decision such as removing my credit card from my wallet to pay for something.
Gizmodo's science editor, Rose Pastore, expressed his thoughts in the same way, though he noted that he also encounters a linguistic entity. But several colleagues noted that they received impromptu ideas, or as my colleague Victoria Song put it, similar to “web Associative.” And as it seems the author of the blog, many of us are surprised to find that not everyone feels theirs every time thoughts.
"I defined my thoughts as a cloud of unknown sounds, compiled by organizations. Sort of like images, memories, feelings and ideas – unlike crossing the Wikipedia port where you just click on a link after the link and click somewhere random from where you started," he told me. ; thinking about words & # 39; if I make an effort out of it, and frankly, that's why I started writing at the beginning because it would sound much louder than my guitar. When I think or talk, it's like organizations that help the fire right away. ”
He added: “Maybe you say & # 39; communism & # 39; and I see at once the images of Marx, Lenin, the hammer and scissors, the Republican people screaming, all McCarthyism. All the while, I feel a general picture of every emotion I ever had in those pictures at once. When trying to make a decision, it's like I've seen all the action at the same time as so many, nameless movies and go with my favorite scene. I think you could say that building words delay this whole process and postpone the chaos.
As I read this, I hear the words in my head telling me this is unbelievable! A word without words knocks you inside constantly! So, apparently, now we ask you, reader: Do you think in words? How do you cope with your thoughts? Maybe you hear the words – or not! – Currently. Let us know below.
