[Rumor] Images and information about the Armored Core 6 have come to light

Four years ago – in a interview with the Japanese medium Famitsu— Hidetaka Miyazaki gave fans of From Software’s ‘mecha’ franchise some hope. Additionally, Naoyuki Takahashi – the director of Armored Core: Verdict Day— He said at the same time that he was working on a project. We remember this now, as rumors have arisen –on the Resetera forums– that reveal images of a possible Armored Core 6.

The publication that started this rumor was made by Resetera user Red Liquorice. This user claims that they have completed a consumer survey about a new game from the franchise Armored Core.

This survey contained images, two 30-second videos, and a description of the possible new From Software title. Unfortunately, Red Liquorice has not shared the images in good qu ality and has not been able to download the videos.

Red Liquorice has shared a series of images in low resolution and with the watermark – supposedly with its identification – of the new Armored Core.

How will the new Armored Core?

The description of the game, present in the survey of the supposed new Armored Core, says the following:

Melange is an unknown substance that could dramatically advance human society. In the past, this substance caused a cosmic catastrophe on the planet Bashtar that engulfed the surrounding star systems. Decades later, Melange’s existence was confirmed on the planet Bashtar. The government, corporations and unknown mercenaries are getting involved in the conflict over this substance. The protagonist is among these groups.

The description of the possible new game in the series Armored Core From Software, reveals that the world of this sixth installment would be being created by Hidetaka Miyazaki. Additionally, this title will have multiple maps, free handling of the ‘mecha’ and various customization elements for the units.

The gameplay impressions of the new course Armored Core given by the Resetera user, as seen in one of the two videos, say that the pace and speed in one of the fights against a boss are similar to those of the ‘souls’ saga. In this fight, Red Liquorice evidenced the existence of long and short distance attacks. The second video only shows the movement in a snowy area, which according to Red Liquorice is similar to that of a Capcom game. We assume, that he refers to Lost Planet.

From Software, it has not yet stated whether this possible leak is true or not.
