Sony announced the PlayStation Store’s top downloads of 2021, with two sports games and an old hit at the top of the list.
NBA 2K22 on PlayStation 5 topped the charts in the US and Canada, followed by Call of Duty: Pioneer, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Madden NFL 22 and Battlefield 2042.
In Europe, FIFA 22 topped the PS5 charts, while Call of Duty: Pioneer came in second. In third place is FIFA 21, with Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Battlefield 2042 in fourth and fifth place, respectively.
GTA 5 was No. 1 on the PlayStation 4 charts in the US and Canada, while Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War was No. 2. Minecraft, NBA 2K22 and Call of Duty: Pioneer rounded out the top five.
On the PS4 charts in Europe, FIFA 22 took the top spot, followed by Minecraft, FIFA 21 and Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.
PlayStation VR users in Europe and North America are very fond of Beat Saber, Job Simulator and Superhot VR, as these three games occupy the same position in the first, second and third places respectively.
Fortnite is the most popular free-to-play game in both regions, followed by Call of Duty: Warzone and Rocket League in the US/Canada and Europe.
Other free-to-play games on the list include Splitgate, eFootball 2022, Apex Legends and Genshin Impact.
