In a few weeks, the survival sequel Dying Light 2: Stay Human will finally be released; Even after the release of the full version, fresh game content should continue for a long time.
Developer Techland now also spoke about the post-launch plans in relation to the approaching Dying Light 2: Stay Human. The zombie survival sequel is known to be released on February 4, 2022 and will be quite extensive anyway, depending on the style of play. Even those who have mastered the actual main game should be kept in the future.
According to the studio, the current plan is to continue to develop and expand the game world for at least a whopping five years after the actual release. There should also be new stories in the form of DLC content, as well as new locations, in-game events and more.
These plans are not a big surprise, after all, the first Dying Light was also provided with additional content for a long time. The official confirmation should nevertheless provide a certain amount of joy and reassurance for many interested parties.
For comparison: The first Dying Light was released in 2015 and was then supplied with additional DLC content for several years, including a number of free updates. There were also cross-over campaigns with other larger game brands, for example with Left 4 Dead 2 or Rocket League.
Dying Light 2 was originally announced at E3 2018 for an early 2020 release. The game has been postponed several times, but will be able to keep the release on February 4, 2022 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Switch (Cloud) this time.
