- Brent Spiner returns in Episode 2 of Season 2 of Star Trek: Picard.
- The actor who played the legendary Data appears in an insanely short scene.
- Find out all about it here and what role Spiner’s new character could play in the fascist timeline.
Data returns in Season 2 of Star Trek: Picard. Well, not exactly the legendary android from Starship Enterprise: The Next Century, but its actor, Brent Spiner. A few days ago you could find out here which character Spiner will play in Season 2 of the Amazon Prime series: Adam Soong, a (human) ancestor of the creator of Data.
In the recently released second episode of “Star Trek: Picard” season 2, the new character Adam Soong made his debut. However, it is incredibly easy to miss the short moment.
Beautiful about Minute 42:55 in episode 2 is it time Just before Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart) is scheduled to publicly execute the Borg Queen in the altered timeline, the hologram statue of Adam Soong seen above comes into view. It says on the audio track: “For a galaxy of safety is a galaxy of men.”
Like the US side Den of Geek reports, the subtitles for the hearing impaired in the USA also reveal that the narrator is a character named Adam (these subtitles are not available in Germany).
Brent Spiner in “Star Trek: Picard” Season 2: The puzzle is becoming clearer
Of course, the question still remains as to who this Adam Soong actually is. On the one hand, he speaks out clearly for the fascist human supremacy ideology that dominates the alternate timeline of the second “Star Trek: Picard” season. Since Picard and his crew will most likely travel to 2024 in Episode 3, and Adam Soong only appears as a statue in Episode 2, it is also reasonable to suspect that Brent Spiner’s new character also exists in 2024.
Possibly Adam Soong brought about the decisive change in the timeline in 2024, which in the presence of the 2nd “Star Trek: Picard” season has led to the new “Earth Confederation” under “General Jean-Luc Picard” Conquer worlds and conquer civilizations.
Because Adam Soong’s guiding principle “Because a safe galaxy is a galaxy of humans” is repeated by General Jean-Luc Picard in a hologram speech, which the “real” Picard – devastated – watches at the beginning of the second episode. It seems to be something like the credo or mantra of the fascist confederation.
