Today we’re excited to announce a brand new partnership between Xbox and the French Football Federation, resulting in Xbox the official gambling partner of the France men’s and women’s national football teams. At Xbox, our mission is to bring the joy and community of gaming to everyone in the world. Billions of people around the world connect through video games, just like soccer. This partnership will bring to life our core message – Power Your Dreams – which not only celebrates the values of diversity and inclusion shared by Xbox and the FFF, but also fires the imagination when two world-class teams come together and empower football fans, federations, amateur clubs, Women’s soccer and those who love games alike.
For more than a century, the French Football Federation has been monitoring and developing the amateur and elite sport of the most popular French sport. The French Football Federation is home to the reigning men’s world champions and 4th-placed women’s team. It’s a remarkable organization that has shown the same will and ambition as Xbox, bringing fans and players together around a shared passion while respecting their differences.
François Vasseur, FFF Marketing and Economic Development Director, said: “We are delighted to partner with Xbox. Xbox is a world-renowned and innovative brand that shares fundamental values such as diversity and inclusion, as well as gaming and its accessibility for all with the FFF. The brand’s commitment especially to amateur football and the French national teams promises great stories together.”
It’s an incredibly proud moment for everyone at Xbox to stand alongside the French team’s millions of fans, especially with the major global tournaments taking place this year. We are ready to bring all our collective creativity together.
As part of this partnership, Xbox will bring to life creative and unique experiences for football fans and video game enthusiasts alike, including:
Xbox FC: a boost for amateur football
As part of this partnership between Xbox and the FFF, we present the Xbox FC initiative, a program aimed at strengthening the FFF’s support for amateur football. The program aims to make the dreams of young amateur footballers come true by providing them with brand new training facilities and equipment. The selected clubs will benefit from refurbished changing rooms, a dedicated gaming area and new Xbox and FFF branded equipment. Xbox and the FFF are committed to ensuring that these new facilities are maintained and that these clubs will benefit from additional initiatives over time.
To advance this program, we work with Sakina Karchaoui, member of the France women’s national team. Originally from Miramas, near Marseille, she took her first steps in football with local club Montpellier HSC before playing for Olympique Lyonnais. Sakina now plays left-back for powerhouse club Paris Saint-Germain. She is committed to more resources and better conditions in amateur football.
Xbox Day: A day dedicated to inclusion and diversity
To celebrate the twin passions of football and video games, Xbox joins FFF, Kadidiatou Diani and Sundayin Clairefontaine on May 21 for Xbox Day.
As a member of the France women’s national team, Kadidiatou discovered football at ES Vitry at an early age. She later joined the Juvisy Club and French Women’s Football Pole. Today she plays as a striker for Paris Saint-Germain. Committed to the community, she joined the NGO Plan International France in 2020 as a new ambassador to defend sport as a lever for education and emancipation for girls. Kadidiatou Diani will be the Xbox Day ambassador.
A well-known figure in the French video game industry, Pierre-Alexis Bizot, better known as Domingo, is a French presenter and streamer. Since 2019 he has hosted his own talk show called “Popcorn” on Twitch. Passionate about sports both behind the screen and in life, he has organized sporting events like The escapea virtual bike race, and competed in the 2021 Paris marathon.
