Today marks the new era of the Pokémon Trading Card Game with the release of the first expansion in the Sword & Shield Series. Taking its inspiration from the Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield video games, this expansion introduces the new Pokémon TCG: Pokémon VMAX. Pokémon VMAX comes from Pokémon V and features Dynamax or Gigantamax Pokémon, with players able to collect cards such as Snorlax VMAX and Lapras VMAX – both in their Gigantamax forms.
Pokémon TCG: Sword & Shield Expansion Features:
- More than 50 Pokémon come from the Galar region
- 17 Pokémon V and 12 complete Pokémon V, including Zacian V and Zamazenta V
- Four Pokémon VMAX, including Snorlax VMAX and Lapras VMAX
- Over 30 Training Cards, including three full-service sponsor cards
- New Special Energy card
In addition, Trainers in the UK have the opportunity to receive two promo cards: Galstino Obstagoon and overhaul Snorlax V. Beginning February 7 and while stocks last, spend $ 10 or more on Pokémon TCG products at WHSmith streets higher to get the Obstagoon Gallery; or buy any Pokémon TCG product in GAME stores to get Snorlax V
In Eire, Coaches can get a Galary Obstagoon promo card when they spend 10 € on Pokémon TCG products at Eason stores starting February 7 and stocks last.
