Disco Elysium was already an unusual and fantastic role-playing game when it was released in 2019. The deeply emotional story revolves around an alcoholic cop who is tasked with solving a murder in a run-down town and in the process gets to know the deepest abysses of humanity, but also experiences bright moments of hope. It’s best not to know much more before you set off for Revachol.
Exactly one year ago, the Final Cut went a long way, for PC gamers at no extra charge. The entire game is now set to music, most of the time jazz singer Lenval Brown’s velvet voice whispers poetic lines in your ear. There’s also a handful of new quests and secrets to discover. Especially important for many: The RPG now also offers full Europe subtitles and menus.

- Assetto Corsa Competizione: Extremely realistic racing simulation that looks great thanks to Unreal Engine 4. Represents many factors such as tire grip or vehicle damage (down 66 percent, now 14 dollars).

- A Plague Tale: Innocence: Action-Adventure for fans of emotional and dark stories. You try to guide your little brother alive through a plague-infested world (reduced by 75 percent to 10 dollars). The successor will appear in 2022.
- Borderlands 3: Always a safe choice if you are looking for a wacky and entertaining shooter that you can also play in co-op (reduced by 75 percent, costs just 15 dollars)
- Gang Beasts: Joins fun party games like Fall Guys. You control a walking jellybean that beats other jellybeans out of arenas. Great for boozy parties (55 percent cheaper, costs just 9 dollars).
- Frostpunk: The sequel is already confirmed, so now is the best time to try out the merciless survival builder. Your clan will only survive if you make smart decisions – and sometimes not even then (reduced by 75 percent to 7.50 dollars).
- Amnesia: Rebirth: Third part of the great horror series that you can enjoy even if you don’t have any prior knowledge. If you like to fear for your life, of course (down 66 percent, now costs 8.50 dollars)
- Hellish Quart: En garde! You’ll duel with sabers, swords, rapiers and more in this realistic fighting game with slick animations. Everything against the historically correct setting of the 17th century (reduced by 25 percent, costs just 11 dollars).
