The developers of Lost Ark are still busy working on the MMO and bring new content to the players every month. In May 2022 you can look forward to some exciting content again. Although the Legion Raids have been around in Asia for much longer, Valtan is the first of its kind for the West.
The first Legions-Raid in the western version of Lost Ark is called Valtan and will bring a whole range of new mechanics with it. The raid is designed for eight players and, thanks to its length, contains two portals (checkpoints) that save your progress.
In addition, there will be a new tier of gear called relic
carries. The materials you need to craft relic armor can all be found in the Valtan raid. Armor contains increased weapon bonuses, bonus stats, and gravure veins for accessories.
You need these item levels for the raid:
- Normal mode: 1415
- Hard mode: 1445
There will also be a new guardian raid: Descaluda. As with the previous guardian raids, you can try to defeat the creature alone or in a group of up to three players. Of course, the match search can also be used for this. As in the Valtan Raid, you also have the opportunity here, with a bit of luck, to earn relic-quality accessories. For Deskaluda you need the following item level:

The new advanced class of destroyer
The Destroyer is another melee class and is now the fourth subclass of the warrior. This should be perfect for getting involved in the heart of the fight. The Destroyer comes with some new abilities, which slow down or throw opponents, for example. In large groups of enemies, he can also deal massive stagger damage and immobilize enemies for a while.
The destroyer is a new subclass of the warrior and lets you swing big hammers.
An alternative to the always same fantasy wardrobe
Are you tired of the dangerous looking warriors and mage armor and would rather fight monsters in casual street clothes? The May update brings the right outfits with Neria’s wardrobe, in which you will not only have more legroom, but also look like the neighbor next door.

Trial Guardian Raids
One of the new weekly activities is the Trial Guardian Raids. Each week you can try to defeat up to three guardians and steal valuable loot from them. By applying the Scale of Balance
your character’s item level will be adjusted to that of the opponent. You can collect the reward for a victory once per squad. However, keep in mind that you cannot use the Battle Workshop during the Trial.

New activities
The South Vern area is being turned upside down with some new content:

- Thunderwing Territory Boss
- Chaosportal

You can also use the Wildwing Island Participate in a new event where a giant golden rooster is up to mischief. There you can earn event coins in co-op or on your own.
May also brings some exciting activities for guilds:
- Siege of the Island: A PvP mode in which guilds compete against each other.
- Raid-Match: PvE battle against the Sylmael Devourer. The quicker you kill the creature, the higher you climb in the guild leaderboard.
The new event is all about this magnificent rooster. Defeat him and his subjects to earn Event Coins.
Comfort and balance changes
But alongside all the big content, there’s also a fair amount of convenience changes. Among other things, a display for frontal and ambush attacks, an overview of participation in weekly content, general UI updates and much more.
Additionally, some balance changes will also be made to the advanced classes and will also go live with the release of the new Destroyer class.
