By now we’re all more than familiar with the fact that Ubisoft games, especially content from the Ubisoft+ service, might be on the verge of joining Xbox Game Pass, as will EA Play, formerly known as EA. Access. Rumors, more and more intense, join the facts themselves, such as the arrival of Rainbow Six Extraction from launch to service or the imminent incorporation of Assassin’s Creed Origins.
One way or another, Ubisoft is still flirting with Microsoft and Xbox Game Pass, although we don’t know how far this deal will go. What we can, for the moment, is to guide ourselves by the clues that one and the other leave us. In today’s case, we are looking at the latest Xbox Insider updatewhere the following line appears in Xbox app enhancement patches for PC:
- Improved search results for PC Game Pass titles, including those from EA Play and Ubisoft.
Ubisoft+ or just new Ubisoft titles on Xbox Game Pass?
Again, we reiterate that we do not know to what extent we will see news in this regard. The interesting thing would be to see it directly as a “connection” of the service, functional in a certain way, either under PC Game Pass, or Xbox Game Pass on console, with the Ultimate subscription. We also don’t know the number of users of the Ubisoft service and perhaps the French distributor is looking to expand this base in its most massive multiplayer games, with the help of Microsoft.
Without a doubt, the patch note for this latest Insider update is an indicator that Ubisoft games, outside of the usual catalog, would be tracked for research. Or simply, there’s a mechanic we don’t know of that was previously failing compared to those already in service.
