According to the company’s latest financial report (slide 12), Capcom has “multiple major new games” in development.
Each game is expected to be released sometime between now and next spring.
The unlisted game is scheduled to end the company’s current fiscal year, which is March 31, 2023.
Chances are that one of those games is Pragmata, which was announced at the PS5 showcase in June 2020. The game was originally said to be released in 2022, but is now set for a 2023 release. While Capcom has promised to release more information about the game in 2021, we haven’t really heard anything other than what was revealed when the game was announced.
According to a little bit of information released at the time, Pragmata is set in a “dystopian near future” on Earth’s moon that will “make the most of” next-generation technologies like ray tracing.
It’s also quite possible that one of those four games will be Street Fighter 6, which Capcom released a trailer for in February. More information on the game is promised this summer.
There have also been rumors that a Resident Evil 4 remake is in the works, and of course, rumors that Dragon’s Creed 2 is in the works have been going on for years, and Nvidia’s leaks in 2021 don’t help in that regard.
Currently, the only game released by Capcom is Monster Hunter Rising: Breaking Dawn, scheduled for release on June 30.
