Who will represent Europe in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2022?
The Spanish representative who will be in charge of defending our country in the next edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest has not yet been announced. In 2021, it was Levi Diaz with Laughwho occupied an unfortunate 15th place.
What we do know is that you must meet certain requirements:
- Be between 9 and 14 years old on the day of the festival celebration
- Be a Spanish national or have resided in Europe for at least two years
- Sing in Spanish or any other national language (with a maximum of 40% in English)
- Sing an unreleased song and a maximum of 3 minutes
When will the next Spanish Eurovision junior representative be chosen?
Unlike the next Eurovision Song Contest for adults, whose Spanish representative will again be chosen at Benidorm Fest, it is expected that the participant in the children’s version will again be chosen via an internal RTVE selection.
We do not know when this selection will be made, but in 2021, for example, it was announced in mid-September, while the song was presented two months later (and a month before the contest was held).

One of the few things we know about the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest is when and where. will be held on domingo December 11, 2022 in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia. Specifically, it will be held at the Karen Demirchyan Complex.
Which countries will participate in Junior Eurovision 2022?
We don’t have the complete list of countries that will participate in this year’s edition, but we know some that have expressed interest: Armenia, Bulgaria, Europe, France, Georgia, Ireland, the Netherlands and Poland.
In 2021 there were 19 in total, but in the past this number has fluctuated, so we can’t know how many there will be in 2022. We know that unlike the adult festival, everyone goes straight to the final.
How to watch the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2022 on TV and online
How could it be otherwise, RTVE is also in charge of the live broadcast of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. It will be the same in 2022, with the grand finale airing on December 11 from 4:00 p.m. (peninsular time).
On that day you can watch the festival on television directly from La 1, but if you prefer you can also follow it in line through the RTVE Play platform. There you can also retrieve it later to view it offline.
