Spy x Family Episode 6: Anya beat a bully and inspired memes

It’s no secret that Anya Forger is the undisputed starlet of Spy x family. The charming new comedy-action series follows the forgers, and from the outside they look like any other family. But in reality they all have their own secret: daughter Anya Forger is a telepath who can read minds; the mother, Yor Forger, is an assassin; and the father, Loid Forger, is a spy. In the latest episode, Anya slaps her elementary school bully — and the moment has inspired a wave of hilarious memes and fan art highlighting the moment.

In spy x family, Loid is on a top secret mission called Operation Strix. He must make contact with a national political party leader, Donovan Desmond, in order to keep the peace between the neighboring states of Westalis and Ostania. In Loid’s plan, he starts a mock family and adopts Anya to send her to the ultra-elite Eden Academy to be closer to the Desmond family, who has close ties to the school.

In the latest episode, The Friendship Scheme, Anya finally has her first day of school. The spunky young girl has a lot to offer; Before attending this elite school, she lived in a run-down orphanage. Nervous about going to school, Anya asks her battle-hardened mother to teach her how to fight. Meanwhile, the mission appears to be going according to plan as Loid secretly arranges for Anya to be placed in the same class as his target’s son, Damian Desmond. Shortly after the first day of school, Damian and his goons bully Anya and call her a farmer because she doesn’t come from a super-rich family.

At first, Anya holds back. But after they throw a crumpled piece of paper at her in the hallway and Damian says he’ll bully her any day, Anya lands a first class punch strong enough to make Saitama proud.

She really knows how to throw a punch and people absolutely live for it and make memes reflecting the moment from the latest episode as well as Anya and Damian’s relationship. An edited clip of the show alone has been viewed over four million times on TikTok. The edit shows a piece of crumpled paper hitting Anya and then hitting Damian.

Anya’s facial expression alone carries the show. And in that episode, she debuted her “heh” face, which inspired tons of fan art.

Here Damian and Anya are both drawn like that Woman yelling at a cat meme.

This is a reference to a old meme this makes a joke of a WikiHow article, “How to Improve Your Social Status at School,” and only shows Anya making a confident T-pose over Damian.
