Despite its postponement, Forspoken does not hesitate to publish news regularly. This time, Square Enix’s action-RPG tells us more about its super-fast loading times.
Originally scheduled for May 24th, Forspoken was eventually pushed back to October 11th to ensure its quality upon release. Since then, the game by Luminous Productions has been the talk of the town, be it with trailers or new details. And the title published by Square Enix is back today with interesting information.
Super fast load times for Forspoken
It’s official, Forspoken loads faster on PS5 than on PC. During Teppei Ono, the game’s technical director announced that Forspoken’s load times will be under one second on PS5 and PCs with an M.2 SSD. A small feat for an open world game made possible thanks to the technologies used by the action RPG. Forspoken will be based on FSR 2.0, a new technology developed to reduce the loading time of high-resolution renderings while making the gaming experience smoother.
The employee also states that the game loads faster on PS5 than on PC, knowing that the delay on the computer can vary from 2 to 20 seconds depending on the hardware used. And like almost all games of this generation, Forspoken will have two display modes, one focused on visual quality and the other on sheer performance.
