super beast is coming Pokemon Go At some point in the future, according to a teaser video posted by Niantic.
Introduced in Gen 7, Nihilego is a jellyfish-like Ultra Beast, one of the 11 Ultra Beasts currently known in Pokemon lore.
Ultra Beasts are a group of extra-dimensional Pokemon that came from space and emerged through Alola’s Ultra Wormholes. Due to their residual energy, they are rather aggressive and attracted to those who also travel through the superwormhole.
Most Poke Balls have a hard time catching them when encountered in the wild, but Beast Balls can catch these creatures. The only caveat is that you can’t use them to catch Pokemon that aren’t Ultra Beasts.
If that’s the case, Beast Ball may also be in the game.
The teaser video also shows what appears to be a member of the Ultra Recon Squad. This group of people came to the Alola region from a world other than the super wormhole. The group’s main goal is to investigate the super wormholes and super beasts, and to return the light “stolen from their house” by the super-powered legendary Pokemon Necrozma.
How all of this will affect the game remains to be seen, but it’s possible — we’re just guessing here — that quests involving Ultra Beasts could go live during Pokemon Go Fest 2022 in June.
But that’s just our guess, since as of now, Pokemon Go Fest 2022 sounds like it’s going to be busy and won’t feature Ultra Beasts over the weekend. We could be wrong, so don’t hedge our thoughts.
