The rumors about the next iPhone’s chips have already become very specific: it’s a safe bet that the A15 will continue to be present in the iPhone 14, while the iPhone 14 Pro would be the one with a new chip ‘ A16’ inside. Bearing this in mind, there are already those who dare to specify the RAM memory of each model of those iPhone 14
6 GB for everyone
TrendForce launched this bet: all iPhone 14 models, non-Pro and Pro, They will have 6 GB of RAM. This means that the A15 chip of these iPhones will be an improved model compared to that of the iPhone 13, which has 4 GB of memory.
The 6 GB of memory of the iPhone 14 Pro will have another advantage aside: its memory will be LPDDR5 type while that of the rest of the models will be LPDDR4 like the current iPhone 13. It’s not something the general user will notice on a day-to-day basis, but the LPDDR5 memory is faster and uses less power. This can translate to longer battery life, and more RAM means being able to have more apps open at the same time.
Another bet they’re making at TrendForce (while admitting they’re not so sure anymore) is that the iPhone 14 Pro might come with 256 GB base storage. The standard iPhone 14 would continue to start with 128 GB storage. A good reason for this change may be the current limitation of the iPhone 13 Pro, which does not record in certain video formats if the model is 128 GB so as not to not fill up the terminal with space too soon.
Specifications such as RAM memory are details that Apple does not usually reveal in its official files, because for them it is not something users should worry about. So far, the strategy has worked: no one decides whether or not to buy an iPhone based on how much RAM it has. What matters is the user experience with the interface and its speed.
