There will be those who hide behind the “Geoff called for expectations to be lowered“, but I don’t think that the heat generated for a whole year could be compensated with that either. Neither with that nor with a Summer Game Fest that, trying to hide it less than ever, this time left a lot to be desired (no, avoid leaking The Last of Us wouldn’t have saved anything either).
Hours later I sat before the conference of Give back and the disappointment took only a few minutes to wear off. Cult of the Lamb, without a doubt one of this year’s games that I’m looking forward to the most, had a demo on Steam to close the night in style.
Cult of the Lamb, what a delicious well of hours
With the excuse of announcing its release date for the next August 11th on all platforms, the friendly sheep of Cult of the Lamb lets us see on Steam a couple of dungeons and a few brushstrokes of what it will mean to build a sect from scratch.
Halfway between an action RPG and a management game, the idea is that we gain followers by defeating bosses and mini-bosses in each of our excursions. Once freed and placed at home, we must do everything possible to create a town where they feel comfortable and supplied to continue working as slaves with a smile on their faces.
Dozens of building, food and upgrade recipes They anticipate a well that, at least a priori, offers us around 16 dungeons in which to survive hordes and annihilate rival leaders. That they are procedural predicts that there will be a game here for a while beyond the defeat of their four great bosses.
With an agile attack, a perfect dodge and a rhythm that is constantly throwing new weapons and powers in your face, it is one of those pits that I will fall into without fear. highly recommended
A night not to repeat
The only disappointment you could throw at Devolver’s conference was the downer when you saw that there was no demo of The Plucky Squire. It’s funny how something small but of amazing quality can save any conference. I wish in Geoff’s we had seen a lot more of this and less of everything else.
Non-E3 promises to be a roller coaster of great joys and deep disappointments in which we hope that Xbox
For the rest, one of those nights that you see coming to the league. Except for the twist of going to sleep having finished the demo of Cult of the Lambdid not differ much from what we were commenting on a few hours earlier in the GGthe program that we do from Monday to Thursday on our channel Twitch. Extending a gala with billet material for just over an hour is unnecessary unless you want to shove ads down our throats.
Maybe the E3 It wasn’t perfect, but at least it was fair to the player enjoying it from a distance. Lecture nights could go on into the wee hours of the morning, but they were hectic and there was always something to cheer about. what of Summer Game Fest it is an event with a single protagonist who is constantly promising us the Moon and then delivering us the remake of a remaster.
