The fact that there will be no official E3 in 2022 does not prevent Microsoft from hosting a huge showcase event anyway – and because Microsoft acquires other companies like a vacuum cleaner dust mice, this time Bethesda is also part of the party. But not only that: Below you will find all the new games, trailers and announcements that Microsoft has trumpeted to the world as part of the Summer Game Fest 2022.
Oh, and if you’re up for any announcements beyond of the Microsoft show: Of course we have that too an overview of all important new games of the Summer Game Fest 2022 for you.

Diablo 4: Trailer announces the Necromancer as the fifth playable class
Many fans still have their veins pounding with anger about Diablo Immortal, but here everyone should agree: The Necromancer trailer for Diablo 4 looks great! In addition, some gameplay was shown, for example the new character editor, which gives you many more setting options for your classes than any other Diablos before. The Shared Universe was also explained in more detail – all information about it in our separate report on the new Diablo 4 gameplay.
Redfall
5:52
Redfall: Trailer finally shows real gameplay of Arkane’s open-world shooter
After months of silence, Arkane’s new open-world shooter Redfall finally has real gameplay. After Dishonored and Prey there could only be one logical next step: Vampires in Massachusetts! In a small American town you hunt vampires and cultists either solo or in co-op for up to four people.
Arkane-typical, there are tons of big and small stories to discover in the streets of Redfall, you can either sneak or cause one big fire after the other with a gun in your hand. But beware: Redfall will not be a stealth game like Dishonored, the quiet stepping remains a rather disordered option.
If you still can’t figure out how Redfall’s Open World works in detail: We pestered the developers with questions and analyzed the gameplay in detail. More about this here:

Flight Simulator reveals helicopters and a spaceship (!) in the trailer
Microsoft’s Flight Simulator has two really cool new features at the show: helicopters and a spaceship! And not just any spaceship, but the Pelican gunboat from the Halo universe, which can even fly into space in the gameplay shown. Certainly a nice gimmick, but for Flight Simulator fans the helicopters should be even a bit cooler.
The Halo DLC is available now for free to all base game owners, with helicopters coming as part of an enhanced Flight Simulator edition in November 2022.
A Plague Tale: Requiem

Forza Motorsport
1:11
After years of radio silence, Forza Motosport shows gameplay in hammer graphics
It’s easy to forget that with all the hype surrounding Forza Horizon, but Forza Motorsport could also be a really, really good racing game – just more for motorsport enthusiasts who want to experience the thrill of real racing without diving into hardcore simulations. After a long silence, the developers are now showing new gameplay for Forza Motorsport 8, which is just called Forza Motorsport.
Pretty impressive vehicle damage for the series, ray tracing effects, various tracks, cars and hey, that could be really great. There is also a release period at last: it should be ready in spring 2023.
