For me, the great novelty is the inclusion of a series of Factors that make stages theoretically more unpredictable: falls, breakdowns, illnesses, random moments… These parameters are adjustable both in frequency and intensity, in addition to being able to choose whether they affect our rider or only the rivals.

From Cyanide they claim to have redone the Tour de France 2022 AI to achieve a more realistic experience and more aggressive rivals. I must say similar things are said every year, but the truth is that things have improved since 2020. We will no longer see rivals rubber stamping unrealistically and illogically and their attacks are much better represented. Undoubtedly a point in favor when it comes to enjoying the most intense stages.

The interface in cobbled areas has also been changed, adding screen tremors, and revamped online ranking modewhere periodic events have been added as challenges.
