strong moon

JiTeuBey’s review:

According to developer strong moon is a 2D platformer that aims to be inspired by classics like Mario etc Donkey Kong. And I said “allegedly”. Once launched, the demo tends to show rather ugly artistic direction and really bad gameplay. I didn’t enjoy going through the levels. And after just a few minutes, my patience was at an end.

Terror of the Hemasaurus

JiTeuBey’s review:

If there wasn’t a legal story, the title would clearly have been “Godzilla Simulator”. In fact, you control a kind of mix between a dinosaur and a mutant lizard that must destroy everything. With a retro style and gameplay like a 2D arcade platformer, I have to admit that I found it to be a great release. What a treat to see the buildings collapse on top of each other in a barrage of flames and be surrounded by terrified civilians fleeing the scene. Yes. A pleasant surprise.

tinykin

JiTeuBey’s review:

In this title you play as Milo trying to return to his planet. He is supported by strange creatures, the Tinykins. In a few words, this Pikmin-like is promising. She has more platforming in mind than her counterpart, offering more exploration than combat. If the idea is pleasant tinykin is unfortunately affected by some gameplay issues. It lacks precision, especially when the jumps have to be chained, and most importantly, there’s a slight lag between pressing a button and seeing the result on screen. These big bugs are hampering the gaming experience and hope to be fixed by release…

Playing time: 45 minutes
Verdict: promising

Danxter’s review:

I’ve heard about it a lot and was quite curious to discover this Pikmin-like game. And right from the start we realize that there is much more at stake. We’re discovering a real platform game in which you’ll have to search every corner to find valuable little creatures with different abilities. Despite a confusing management of jumps at the beginning but with no real objective error, I discovered the bonuses and identified the ways to achieve them. I don’t forget the artistic direction, which I found very enjoyable with its characters in the manner of a Paper Mario. For me a title that will be watched closely when it comes out!

Warhammer 40,000: Shootas, Blood & Teef

Niko1664’s opinion:

Accompanied by metal that will surely get you in the mood, this new take on the Games Workshop universe plunges you into a frenzied, horizontally scrolling shoot’em up. Throughout the prologue, you will embody an orc betrayed by his boss during the attack on an Imperial planet. Single goal: Defeat your old bosses and become the new Big Boss. Four players can try it at the same time and if the classes/armies are limited in the demo, there is no doubt that the final version can give us more possibilities.

Conclusion: one-to-watch

wave break

JiTeuBey’s review:

Take a game Tony Hawkreplace the skateboard with a boat, put everything in a very arcade and 80s atmosphere, you will get it wave break. Ah, and I almost forgot, also add the ability to use a firearm. Yes. You can use it to kill your opponents and some obstacles. This title puts you in the shoes of a bear and you have to string together the best tricks to get as many points as possible. The gameplay is certainly a bit difficult to master, but what a pleasure controller in hand! And that without a rocking soundtrack! wave break Definitely worth seeing for fans of the genre.

Playing time: 15 minutes
Conclusion: Very promising

Danxter’s review:

Farniente and speedboats will be the backdrop for this arcade acrobatic game that evokes a historical saga in the world of skateboarding: follow my gaze… If the artistic direction of the cartoon is very pleasant and there is fluidity, the gameplay is far far from being as accessible as one might think. While the genre used to only use one button to accelerate and jump, here those two actions are separated. Nothing catastrophic, but a much more technical approach, especially if we add the possibility of using firearms. But if innovation has to go through it, why not? In any case, after 30 minutes of play I find it a boat that hits the mark!

Playing time: 30 minutes
Conclusion: technical, but well constructed and fluid

wreck

Danxter’s review:

Strange concept that this wreckat the intersection of breakout and rocket league in 2D. You play as a vehicle whose objective is to send the ball to break the bricks of the opponent’s camp. Even if the controls are summary, it will be necessary to hone his technique and sense of anticipation to manage to dominate on the spot. I’ll admit I was pleasantly surprised by the concept, although sticking with 1v1 felt a bit cheap to me. It’s hard to say if the recipe will be enough to become a solid multiplayer title, but its concept has some arguments to make.

Playing time: 30 minutes
Conclusion: A good concept to concretise

The fry

JiTeuBey’s review:

Rarely has a game fascinated me so much with its artistic orientation. Both poetic and simplistic, monochromatic and colorful (yes yes), I found it really amazing and relaxing. With the controller in hand, we could talk about a platform game or even dexterity. You control an organism that has to go from point A to point B. To do this, he must move from zone to zone. Within these you are in control, outside much less. The slightest fall will make you resurface at the final checkpoint. These control points are activated by standing still in any area for a few seconds. In short, I loved the experience and I’m impatiently awaiting the release of the console version, hoping that over time the gameplay will be renewed.
