Announced earlier today on the official Microsoft bloghas selected Unity Azure as its cloud partner for building and running real-time 3D (RT3D) experiences from the Unity engine. With easy access to RT3D simulation tools and the ability to create digital twins of real-world locations and objects, Unity offers developers an easy way to produce RT3D assets, be it for gam ing or non-gaming worlds.
“We share our commitment to developers with our long-standing partner Unity, a global leader in real-time 3D technology,” notes Sarah Bond, CVP of Game Creator Experiences and Ecosystem at Microsoft. “We’re also committed to expanding the creation and distribution of 3D content, making relevant tools and technology available to a broader spectrum of developers, and making it easier than ever to bring games to gamers.”
As noted in the official postThe partnership between Microsoft and Unity will also allow developers of Made with Unity games to more easily reach their players across Windows and Xbox devices and unlock new opportunities for success.
