Joltik 100% Perfect IV Stats, Shiny Joltik in Pokemon Go

Joltik, perfect, Pokémon, shiny, stats

This week Spotlight hour is the perfect time to catch a strong PVP Joltik in Pokemon Go. While he doesn’t have much use just about anywhere, his evolved form, Galvantula, is a popular Go Battle League choice.

As usual, catching as many Joltik as possible is this week’s Spotlight hour plan, both because of the ability to hunt PVP Pokémon in Pokémon Go and because of the double candy catch bonus that accompanies the event.

And since this is a Pokemon relevant to Go Battle League, catching a perfect one isn’t as easy as hunting down a four-star monster – as always, it depends on what you’re looking for.

Joltik 100% perfect IV stats in Pokémon Go

This week’s Spotlight Hour is a great opportunity to catch a Joltik with perfect IV stats.

“Perfect”, of course, means two things in Pokémon Go. First, there’s the 100% Max IV version, which is the 15/15/15 you’re looking for for your 4* Pokédex, raids, and your Master League. Yet, due to the way CP is calculated using these three stats, a perfect Pokémon IV is usually just the best version of itself in Master League, Raids, and Go Rocket Battles.

In this case, a perfect Great League Galvantula has a max CP of 1495 at level 23.5. However, a perfect Galvantula Ultra League (15/15/15) has a max CP of 2494 at level 50 – making it one of those rare examples of a perfect Go Battle League IV Joltik in Ultra League is simply a perfect 4* pokemon.

Of course, you can’t see a Pokemon’s IV without catching it first, but with a little research beforehand, you can tell if these are the droids you’re looking for, as the late Great Ben Kenobi, based on CP alone.

If you’re level 30 (or higher), you’ll ideally be looking for the following PCs for a perfect Joltik 15/15/15:

  • Level 30 (max wild CP) – 877 CP
  • Level 35 (Max wild CP boosted by weather – 950 CP
  • The wild CP value aligns with your trainer level until you reach level 30, and since the majority of the player base is now above that level, we’ve kept these values for the sake of it. of simplicity. These values will however be different if you are currently below level 30.

    Is Galvantula good in PVP?

As always, it depends on your league.

In Great League, Galvantula is a very popular choice, due to the abundance, if not ubiquity, of the water-type Pokémon Azumaril. He also helps pick up victories against Skarmory, Sableye, Walrien, and even Deoxys in defensive form, thanks to his bug/electric combo of Volt Switch and Discharge, with Lunge as the second charged move.

As a spammy, flexible Pokémon with great fast movement pressure, it’s a popular one in the current meta. Volt Switch with STAB damage hits pretty hard, and Lunge’s debuff ability is always welcome.

However, it’s also a widely known Pokemon that’s pretty easy to beat, thanks to the double whack that it’s a glass cannon that’s also pretty clunky thanks to its long attack animations.

Also, if you’re trying to integrate it to beat Azumarill, remember that it’s most commonly paired with Galarian Stunfisk and Medicham – both of which clear the bug easily.

Swampert, Trevenant, and Registeel also beat Galvantula, so generally speaking Galvantula doesn’t tend to make it to our Great League recommendation list. However, it’s popular and common enough to show that it can work when you build your team properly – Walrien and Defense Deoxys make a decent team, in this case.

Remember, if you want a perfect Go Battle League IV Galvantulayou should be looking for a Joltik 0/15/15.

Ultra League is aiming for a truly perfect 15/15/15 Galvantula though.

This Pokémon does a little better in Ultra League, performing the same attacks as in Great League, but is of course open to the same weaknesses: Galarian Stunfisk, Registeel, and Swampert. However, he has the added advantage of beating Talonflame, who are consistently good and popular picks in this league. This despite the weakness of this bug to trigger.

Galvantula also defeats some of the meta – Cresselia, Obstagoon, Walrein, and Togekiss, which is fantastic.

So why not recommend it on our Best Pokémon for Ultra League page? Because not only do you want a 15/15/15, you want it to be level 50. That requires a lot of Joltik Candy, of course, but also Joltik Candy XL and a metric ton of Stardust, setting it firmly in outside the realm of the probable for most players. However, if you want to run the Pokemon EleSpider in Ultra League, this Spotlight Hour is your chance to strive to stock up on your dry powder.

Finally, we have Master League. Don’t even think about it, you monster. A spider doesn’t go together with Dialga, does it?

Go Season has arrived! The Bug Out! event brought us the release of Grubbin, Charjabug, and Vikavolt in Pokémon Go, while Mega Scizor makes its first appearance in Mega Raids. Knowing how to evolve Wurmple will also come in handy during this event. You can use Daily Adventure Incense for the chance to encounter Galarian Articuno, Galarian Zapdos, and Galarian Moltres. There is also a new special research quest – A Mysterious Incense. While Go Fest 2022 may be behind us, there are still three special research quests you could work on – Pokémon Go Fest 2022, Rhi’s Arrival, and A Radiant World. This season also saw the Candy XL requirement drop and introduced the first Ultra Beast, Nihilego, as well as new Prime Gaming fortnightly rewards.

Is there a shiny Joltik in Pokémon Go?

We have good news and we have bad news.

The bad news is that Joltik and Galvantula can’t shine in Pokémon Go.

The good news is that you’re not missing much because the Shiny Joltik and Shiny Galvantula look pretty underwhelming.

What does shiny Joltik look like?

If we ever had to make a page about the worst shinies in Pokemon, then Joltik would be a strong contender because at a glance it can be hard to tell it apart from its regular version.

You can see Joltik glowing at 1:56 in this YouTube video created by Glitched Bat on YouTube:

Joltik is a slightly paler shade of yellow, continuing through to bright Galvantula which gets slightly different accent colors. In short, quite disappointing.

Other reasons to catch as many Pokémon as possible

One interesting thing about this Spotlight Hour is the fact that the double take candy bonus running all the time affects more than Joltik.

This means that if you have a stack of research rewards you are working on, each catch will yield a double candy. By stacking this with Pinap Berries, you can get a 4x multiplier on your candies.

And with the recent addition of Daily Adventure Incense, you can spawn rare Pokémon during that hour, helping to extend that bonus even further.

This gives you the opportunity to collect a lot of XP very quickly, which allows you to increase your trainer level.

If you’re a new player or looking for a Joltik for Go Battle League, this Spotlight Hour is the perfect time to collect enough Joltik Candy for Ultra League.

Thanks to the fact that Joltik is a dual bug and electric type, catching a bunch of them during this Spotlight Hour will add progress to your bug and electric type catch bonus medals.

Spotlight Hour events are only one hour long – 6-7pm local time – don’t worry if you can’t make it to this week’s event. Next week, Nidoran Male will be in the spotlight on August 23, with a very useful double transfer candies prime.
