Now there’s excitement around Beahm’s game again. This time, there is a debate about whether the Call of Duty developers stole a skin from Deadrop. during a Staff suggested by Deadropthat it is a bold copy, others see the resemblance as a coincidence.

A skin like any other?

Especially the hood with the futuristic looking mask and the skull behind it are quite similar, even if the shape is a bit different. In addition, the color scheme of the skins is identical. Assuming something other than coincidence is therefore not entirely out of the question.

On the other hand, the basic features of the skin for Call of Duty are nothing really new. Hoods and skull masks abounded in Blizzard’s shooter even before Deadrop was announced. The style and color scheme aren’t really exceptional either.

Not the first case

Finally, however, it must be mentioned that such allegations against Call of Duty are not expressed for the first time. Only a short time ago, an artist commented on a CoD skin. This is a copy of his own work:

In this case, Activision was clear removed the skin and apologized to the artist. It remains to be seen how the publisher will react to the latest allegations.

What do you think of the allegations? Do you see it like the Deadrop developers and think the skin is a plagiarism? Or is it more of a coincidence? Write your opinion in the comments!
