Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed is a 4v1 ghost buster out October 18th and available for pre-order now
Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed, the 4v1 asymmetric multiplayer title, is available for pre-order now. The latest game from IllFonic will be released on October 18th, 2022 on PC via Epic Games Store, PlayStation and Xbox.
Along with up to three other Ghostbusters, players chase the ghosts through a variety of different locations. They look for supernatural activity with the PKE Meter and use it to restrict the ghost’s movements.
They also uncover hidden rifts that serve as ghost spawn points and teleportation locations. With the powerful particle launchers, the ghost is caught and stuffed into a trap before it can escape.
Meanwhile, the ghost works alone, moving through maps like the museum, an abandoned prison, and other spooky places. Another map will be presented at gamescom.
Players must scare civilians and possess objects to increase the haunted level, restore spirit power, and spread fear and terror. The Ghostbusters are also briefly shocked with slime. Ghosts can rift to confuse hunters, summon minions to escape, and teach Ghostbusters why they should fear ghosts.
In Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed, players will explore the Firehouse, a home base full of new and familiar characters, before embarking on the mission. Either with a bunch of friends, random matchmaking and/or AI teammates, online or offline in solo mode.
The Ghostbusters’ equipment can be adjusted at the workbench and the changes can be tested in the alley next door. Visiting Ray’s Occult Books, it is possible to enter the spectral world and customize the skins and appearance of the spirits.
