EA and DICE reveal all remaining details for season 2 Battlefield 2042. The new season known as Master of Arms will be available on all platforms on Tuesday, August 30th.
If you’ve been following developments in Battlefield 2042, you won’t be surprised to learn that Season 2 brings a similar amount of new content to the game as Season 1. like zero hour, Weapon Master Added a new map, a new specialist, three new weapons and two vehicles.
Starting at the top, the new map is called stranded, it occurred in a drainage lake in Panama. Similar to last season, the map also emphasizes close combat. The targets are closely spaced in the desert environment, but there is also a more CQC-oriented area inside the stranded tanker.
Inside its shell, there is a TDM area from Noshahr Canals at BF3 with intertwined containers and a very narrow corner in an indoor no-go zone. The focus of the map is on combined arms, but only in the lighter arms. Expect helicopters and light vehicles (including two coming this season).
Another highlight of the second season is Charlie Crawford, the new support specialist. Crawford was a British arms specialist and arms dealer who played his role on the battlefield. His feature – Cache Points – allows him to replenish his gadget ammo when reviving teammates.
His own gadgets are less exciting. Just a fixed Vulcan machine gun with some ballistic shielding around. Like any stationery weapon, it is designed to suppress suppressive fire and can be used by both friendly and enemy players.
Continue the tool war; DICE is adding three new weapons to the Weapon Master.This AM40 is a carbine designed to act as a bridge between an assault rifle and an SMG. It can be assigned to either profile and you’ll be able to quickly switch between the two roles.
After that vacancy LMG, a relatively lightweight LMG that supports a variety of accessories. Finally, the sidearm selection is expanding with the addition of a new feature: PF51 Minor. Its main quality is its ability to use large magazines.

On the vehicle end, you can expect two new arrivals.most interesting EBLC-RAM Heavy ground vehicle, basically an APC. Its main feature is that a respawn beacon can be placed anywhere nearby, allowing teammates to respawn on it. It has an AMPS system to deflect projectiles and protect itself.
and also Polaris Rzr, a fast and nimble light off-road vehicle. Rzr can be found in worlds on select maps, but in typical DICE fashion, will not be available at the start of the season, arriving in the first update.
All meaningful new content; be it experts, weapons, etc. – can be unlocked in the free tier of the battle pass. Beyond that, you can expect common skins for specialists, weapons, and vehicles. There are also various kills, player cards and other cosmetic items.
In addition to all the new content, DICE is expanding Battlefield Web portals Includes new weapons for all three games (BF3, BC2, BF1942) and adds a new extra small player space as an option for some maps, which helps creators make CQC-focused playlists. Speaking of which, the Builder has been updated with a new Conquest preset that lets you modify the rules of the mode.
But that’s not all, some Portal weapons will properly jump to 2042 as part of the new quest feature.In season 2, you look forward to making money M60E4 and M16A3 for BF3. These are part of what DICE calls an arsenal that will be supplemented with more Portal content over time.
Missions are also a way for players who missed last season’s Experts, Weapons and Vehicles to unlock them in future seasons.
