Gaming News New Tales from the Borderlands: The first gameplay pictures revealed
Following an announcement trailer shown during gamescom, New Tales from the Borderlands reveals some of its gameplay.
In New Tales from the Borderlands, a new “Trio of losers“The way it is presented begins an epic shared with Tediore, this weapon manufacturer who will be the main antagonist of this part. During the gameplay video shown, comical situations and humorous lines are always present, as well as the dialogue decisions that have to be made in a very limited time. Also on the program: the QTEs, which can lead you to certain death again if you fail. But this time Gearbox wants to unburden as many people as possible: Those who feel overwhelmed by events can adjust the reaction time to feel more comfortable.

A novelty of the game
A great novelty is on the agenda: combat mini-games that include the Vaultlander of your choice, a collectible that you will find throughout the experience. “The idea was to give you something simple to take a break from the story and give you something to collect in the game“, explains the producer Frédéric Scheubel. A first trailer was shown this summer
The first trailer for New Tales from the Borderlands was released last August. As a reminder, the title, developed at Gearbox’s Quebec offices, relies on the help of veterans of the first plant. “to ensure you get that familiar storytelling feel with stunning new animation and artwork from the talented Gearbox partners I’ve had the pleasure of working with“Frédéric Scheubel confided in us at the time.

Each of the three characters is playable, and it will sometimes be possible to play all three at the same time. The action takes place on Prometheus, a metropolitan world housing the headquarters of the Atlas Company and occupied by Maliwan forces in Borderlands 3. The timeline isn’t really set, but James Lopez places it roughly “a year after the events‘ while the world is being rebuilt.
At the moment, New Tales from the Borderlands does not have an exact release date, but it does have a window: October 2022. Just note that the game format will be divided into episodes and you can start the game with any one you like.
