CD Projekt RED releases first extended trailer Cyberpunk 2077.
Titled Phantom Liberty, it’s described as a spy-thriller expansion that will be set in a brand new locale in Night City.
There isn’t much to show in the trailer, but the country looks to be in trouble. As far as the storyline goes, well, the trailer doesn’t help us much either.
What it implies is that V will serve “faithfully” to the “new United States of America” and will interact with the new characters.
Keanu Reeves will also reprise his role as rebel rock boy Johnny Silverhand for Phantom Liberty.
The trailer states that it will be coming to PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Stadia in 2023. No mention of PS4 or Xbox One.
CD Projekt Red also announced today that Cyberpunk 2077 will be getting new DLC today based on the Edgerunner anime airing on Netflix on September 13.
The DLC seems to be story-centric and brings the equippable items from the anime into the game. Players will have the opportunity to don the jacket worn by the series’ protagonist, David Martinez, and use a shotgun used by another character on the show.
In addition to items inspired by Edgerunners, the update brings a host of features to the game, including a costume transmog system, cross-platform progression, a playable Roach Race mini-game arcade cabinet, and more.
