How to get Doom of Chelchis in Destiny 2

Doom of Chelchis is a raid-specific weapon, and the only way to acquire it is to eliminate encounters in the King’s Fall raid.

Doom of Chelchis is known to drop at Entrance, Totems, Golgoroth, Deathsingers, and Oryx. Every time you remove one, you have one chance to acquire Doom of Chelchis with a random roll, and therefore you may end up with several during a raid.

Once you find your first one, you can also craft Doom of Chelchis in Destiny 2. To do this, you need to collect five Deepsight Resonance versions of the gun (the type with the red border on the icon).

There’s also a chest at the end of King’s Fall that lets you exchange Conquest loot for weapons you’ve found previously in the raid. The first you buy with each character per week will be a guaranteed Deepsite Resonance drop. The others aren’t, but it’s an effective way to farm your favorite scrolls, if you have the loot.

You can only buy weapons that you have previously unlocked in the final chest. Keep casting King’s Fall to expand the inventory!

The season of plunder has arrived! New additions include the Sails of the Shipstealer quest, Treasure Coordinates and Map Fragments, Cryptic Quatrains, and Quicksilver Storm. Meanwhile, there is the arrival of King’s Fall and weapons such as Doom of Chelchis and Touch of Malice. Familiarize yourself with our leveling guide before tackling the Duality dungeon and learn how to collect Calus Bobblehead locations, Calus Automaton locations, and find all Opulent Key chests. For The Witch Queen, find out how to get Exotics including Dead Messenger and Parasite.

Doom of Chelchis god roll recommendation in Destiny 2

Doom of Chelchis falls with a weapon-specific origin trait King’s Fall called Overflows.

Reload a weapon with this trait as nearby allies will overflow the magazine and scale to more players – so if used near a full raid team takes the default from 16 rounds to over 30 rounds.

The best combination of advantages, or “god roll”, will be different for different situations and players. However, some combinations should produce consistently excellent results.

Here is our best recommended Doom of Chelchis god roll in Destiny 2:

  • Arrowhead
  • Regular rounds
  • Explosive Payload
  • eye of the storm

As a precision frame scout rifle, Doom of Chelchis is quite stable and has excellent range. Arrowhead makes recoil very predictable, while improving handling speed. This will help you land accurate shots quickly while aiming down sights.

Magazine options that increase ammo or reload speed aren’t as useful due to the Runneth Over perk mentioned above. Use instead Regular rounds to help keep your aim steady while shooting. This, combined with Arrowhead Break’s easy aiming, makes it an incredibly shooter-friendly weapon.

Explosive Payload converts half of your damage to explosive damage and increases that portion by 30%. This is actually a 15% damage boost that also deals splash damage.

One for all Grants a 35% damage bonus for 10 seconds after damaging three or more targets. It harmonizes brilliantly with Explosive Payload, as the latter damages splashes which frequently works with the former. It’s a synergy that works equally well on Legions of Thralls as it does against Tight Guardians in the Crucible.

Finally, don’t forget to upgrade the Masterwork on your Doom of Chelchis. This can further increase your reload speed, range, maneuverability, or stability. Also, once you complete the Masterwork, you unlock the kill tracker and Orb of Power generation.
