The remake of Ryu Ga Gotoku: Ishin! was announced on September 14, and despite this, the game already had a demo available for visitors to play on the TGS 2022. We had the opportunity to try this demo first hand and we want to share with you the experience we gained while playing this game. remake of a game that was only available in Japanese
If you’ve never heard of him, don’t worry. Only available in Japan as Ryu Ga Gotoku: Ishinthe title is a variant of the Yakuza series, with beloved characters from the series reimagined as characters in 1860 Japan. Characters from the Yakuza series they will become very famous members of Japanese history as Sakamoto Ryoma, Okada Izo, Okita Aoji and much more. This remake of the title replaces the character models that were taken from Yakuza 5, for those of Yakuza 0 and 6, in particular the three lieutenants Dojima and Joon-Gi Han.
The demo shown at TGS 2022, we could choose to play day or night, with different encounters available, such as a fight against Okaza Izo if you played at night. We chose to test the game during the day, so we could explore the streets of kyotosee different side stories, play mini-games, and even trade in stores.
As expected in a title Like a Dragon, there is no shortage of random encounters and strange occurrences all the way. An interesting addition to Like a dragon: were! that’s the game he still maintains his four fighting styles (pistol, fists, katana or mix of katana and pistol) keeping the freedom you had during the fight, with even more options.
The TGS demo lasted 20 minutes and while the game doesn’t offer too many new features compared to the original title, the game is still incredibly refreshing with the new cast and revamped graphics.
