As they always do when introducing a new phone to the market, the iFixit boys – the technologists in repair – split Samsung's new wrap phone to find out how to adjust if necessary.
Well, few are genuinely surprised. As with most other family-friendly phones of the year, the Motorola RAZR, this Galaxy Z Flip is extremely difficult to repair. It obviously doesn't reach Motorola's difficulty level (1/10 resolution) but it still does one of the most difficult edges to fix iFixit where it has had to deal with 2 of 10 startling details.
"Unless you are an Instagram influencer who needs something new, this phone is not for you. It's a luxury tool and even though this is not a bad thing because technology has to move forward and improve, it's best to wait for the wrap files to upgrade later

In short, even though wrap devices have improved compared to last year, they seem to still have a long way to go in the day-to-day lives of users. Its prices are high and especially its fragility – and the fact that it's very difficult to fix – which is just ready for most consumers. However, we do hope that wrap technology is something that will improve over time, so we expect other brands to continue to bet on this kind of screen.
