Google Store, new 2019 design

It's already here the first beta for Android 11 developers, the latest Google app. With it will come improvements in notifications, new configurations made for 5G and even the possibility of black mode setting, something we've been asking for a long time. This is the first version We continue to research more issues.

In the meantime, Google continues to work for us to have it greater control about what's happening on our device. As we are able to learn from the official blog for developers, with the advent of Android 11 we will have it permission for a new location. We may choose to notify applications where we are, but only until we stop using them.

Applications won't make it easy from now on

There are applications that request access to the backdrop, when they really don't need it. Its functionality doesn't change if they only access it when using the app, so it does not make sense that they enjoy constant access. This is one reason why we have this new permit. However, Google's plans are moving forward.

As they point to those in charge, The Google Play policy will also include changes. These items will be tested before developers request access to the backdrop:

  • Does the feature provide a clear value to the user?
  • Do users expect the app to reach its background?
  • Is this feature important for a major app application?
  • Can you provide the same experience without accessing the backdrop?

Android Applications

Thanks to Android 10 some security measures and privacy have arrived. One of them was choice how and how apps can access at the local permit. But this is not perfect, too background app functionality was limited and we were allowed to choose which apps had access to the image, video and libraries, due to the new permissions.

In this way we take another direct step. It was worth refreshing why applications request specific permissions, but also that users should be allowed to approve or not access each time the app intends to use it.
