A Plague Tale: Requiem from the French development studio Asobo is in the starting blocks. The predecessor was able to convince critics and the community with great stealth gameplay, an interesting story and, last but not least, impressive graphics.
The sequel puts it up a notch graphically and even for the 1080p gamers among you it could be tight this time – at least if you like playing with ultra settings.
RTX 3070 and RX 6800 XT for Full HD
A GTX 970 was still the optimum for the first part, for Requiem it is the new minimum. According to the developers, this should just be enough for gaming in 1920×1080 resolution with 30 frames per second. In the case of AMD, you need an RX 590 for the same gaming experience.
It also remains steep when you look at the recommended system requirements. To play in 1920×1080 at 60 frames per second in Ultra, a RTX 3070 recommended. At AMD it is even that RX 6800 XT. This information may apply to switched on ray tracing, but Asobo tells us unequivocally that A Plague Tale: Requiem is a real current-gen game.
Still, these system requirements seem exceptionally high considering the RTX 3070 was designed for trouble-free 1440p gaming and the RX 6800 XT even for 4K.
If you are interested in playing the game in such high resolutions, you can refer to the recommended requirements. The game uses an internal 1080p resolution for upscaling in both DLSS and FSR.
A Plague Tale: Requiem will be released on October 18th for PC, Xbox Series X|S, Playstation 5 and Nintendo Switch (cloud version). It will also be available in Xbox Game Pass at launch.
