Funnelweb in Destiny 2 is a legendary submachine gun (SMG) and the successor to the infamous Recluse SMG that dominated the game’s early days.

How to Get Funnelweb in Destiny 2
Funnelweb is made by Veist, one of Destiny 2’s in-game foundries. That means it’s part of the general global loot pool, and can drop from any activity.
Completing Strikes, Crucible matches, Gambit, and more can all drop weapons from the global loot pool, though it’s purely a matter of luck which weapon or armor drops.
Umbral Engrams are another possibility of potential Funnelweb drops and provide some control over the potential items you may receive.
These can also be rewarded at the end of any activity and will also drop randomly from fallen enemies. Once collected, they can be taken to HELM and focused on a specific smelter. This means that for a small fee of Legendary Shards, you can force the engram to decode as one of six Veist weapons, giving you 1 in 5 chance of winning a Funnelweb.
Finally, be aware that the Funnelweb (at the time of writing) cannot be crafted – so you are looking for a drop with decent rolls. Speaking of what, what should you pay attention to?

Funnelweb god roll recommendation in Destiny 2
Funnelweb, like all Veist weapons, has the original ‘Veist Stinger’ undercarriage. Any damage done by this gun has a small chance of reload magazine and increase movement speed while aiming down.
As an SMG, Funnelweb does damage per second (DPS) by doing small increments of damage very quickly, so he tends to activate Veist Stinger frequently.
An ideal combination of perks for Funnelweb, known as the “god roll”, builds on fast gun damage and buffs SMG weaknesses, especially range and frequent reloads.

The biggest issue with SMGs is range, which decreases damage dealt as distance to the target increases. Corkscrew increases range and grants bonuses to stability and maneuverability. In essence, Funnelweb becomes easier and faster to aim, and deadly from further away.
Funnelweb usually empties its magazine quickly. The bonus ammo and improved reload speed of Tactical loader helps maintain gun fire, and the added stability works well in conjunction with Corkscrew Rifling to aid in landing shots.
Subsistence is a powerful advantage for Funnelweb. Each kill partially reloads the magazine. It is possible to take out large groups of enemies quickly without reloading, especially with the periodic activation of the Veist Stinger trait.
Frenzy adds a bonus to damage, handling, and reload speed whenever you are in combat for 12 seconds or more. This is easy to activate and does not end until the fight. Funnelweb is a weapon for the heart of the action, and Frenzy takes full advantage of it.
Interval is the perfect masterpiece for Funnelweb, and should be a priority to upgrade if it’s on your weapon. If you can’t find this, Stability is a second quality option.
