Bad news for PS5 players who subscribed to PS Plus Extra or Premium. You will have a handful fewer games. Not all additions in October will be available to you.
Yesterday, with fanfare, Sony announced the PS Plus Extra & Premium games for October 2022. Nice additions, marked by the arrival of several flagship licensed works such as Assassin’s Creed, Dragon Quest or even Yakuza. However, PS5 players will not have access to three of these games.
Three PS Plus Extra games are not available on PS5
Over 23 additional games are coming to PS Plus Extra & Premium. Between iconic licenses and indie titles, there is something for everyone. Gamers were quick to share their excitement about these new additions, but there’s a catch for those playing on PS5. In fact, they will have three less. Shortly after the announcement, Sony quietly edited its blog post to indicate that several Assassin’s Creeds will not be available on console.
No Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: India, Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: Russia and Assassin’s Creed Syndicate on PS5. The reason is quite simple: they are one of the few games that are not backwards compatible. Taking place in London, the opus may be playable on console, but it’s terribly buggy. Ubisoft also promised this year that a stabilization update was on the wayopen world. However, the message in question has since been quietly deleted. Advantage, then, for PS4 players who will also have three PS Plus Extra games. The others will put their mouths to a dozen more titles of excellent quality.
