The next Final Fantasy could surprise us by revisiting some of its legendary creatures. One of them is definitely really hot! Hope others follow…
Ahead of the arrival of Final Fantasy 16 next summer and Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth in late 2023, Crisis Core Reunion will come out on top next December.
Make new? remaster? We really don’t know. But one thing is for sure Crisis Core Reunion have the right to a second youth. And if we could see from the trailers that there is a significant graphical improvement, the developers add a level by highlighting a complete redesign of one of the license’s most iconic creatures.
A brand new Bahamut for Crisis Core Reunion
We’re talking about Bahamut, a mythical summoning of the Final Fantasy series that will have had many forms throughout the episodes. In Crisis Core, in particular, we have the right to Bahamut Furie, a formidable version of the Elder Dragon. And the latter is in the spotlight today. Via Twitter, the studio has actually shared some artwork of the new design that the creature will have in the game.
Because yes, e.g Crisis Core Reunion, Bahamut has been completely redesigned. And while it features the same colors and a style very similar to the original, it’s also thinner and looks a lot more aggressive. We can also see it briefly in one of the game’s trailers.
Heading towards a new design for all summonses?
As in many Final Fantasy games, summonses are particularly important and, above all, an opportunity to get the full picture. It is therefore not surprising that the studio spoils her. Given the work on Bahamut by Roberto Ferrari, character designer for years on the Final Fantasy franchise and its offshoots, we’re now wondering if the other mythological creatures will be affected Crisis core meeting
It is currently difficult to determine. But it’s almost certain that these will be entitled to some design tweaks. The follower of Crisis Core Reunion below lets us catch a glimpse of the demonic Ifrit and the towering Odin, but they don’t really seem to have changed. At least not as much as Bahamut Furie.
Therefore, you will have to wait a few more weeks with the heart mesh. Unless Square Enix tells us more by then.
