Bayonetta 3 was only released a few days ago, but the creator Hideki Kamiya already has concrete plans for the fourth part. At least that’s what a tweet from him suggests.
It hasn’t been a month since Bayonetta 3 has appeared. The witch’s current adventure was only released on the Nintendo Switch on October 28th. But that doesn’t stop Platinum Games, and especially series creator and writer Hideki Kamiya, from already thinking about the future of the series. At least that’s what a tweet from him suggests.

In this he refers to the end of Bayonetta 3, of course completely spoiler-free. Specifically, he says that he wants to take a closer look at this in Bayonetta 4. Because parts of the community are not entirely happy with the outcome, also because it wasn’t really easy to understand. Of course, he doesn’t give any details, rather he makes cryptic statements and states that the next part will bring an “unexpected development” for the series.
According to him, he also gambled a bit when it came to the story of Bayonetta 3. He thought the fans would understand her exit. According to him, however, she “didn’t really come across to anyone.” But since he hasn’t commented in any way on a possible release date for Bayonetta 4, we can assume that it will be a long time before the Umbra witch returns.
In the past, Bayonetta has not only made headlines because of the games themselves, due to a big dispute between voice actress Hellena Taylor and Platinum Games, the title has been on everyone’s lips. Taylor accused the studio of not paying her fairly. Platinum, on the other hand, countered that the original offer was more than fair, which was also supported by industry insiders. A tricky story that even led to the witch now having a new voice with Jennifer Hale.
