Wow: A startup specializes in one Games console especially for dogs. This should not only be fun, but also offer health benefits for the furry friends, for example counteracting dementia. No loot boxes provide motivation, but automatically distributed treats.
So far, so strange. But the developers are serious. The console is called Joipaw (Word creation from joystick and paw) developed, it should even come with games especially for dogs. Technically, a display that is protected from drool should ensure safe gaming operations.

You can see how real dogs play with Joipaw prototypes in the video:

Several games are used, for example a Whack-a-Mole game that you may know from the carnival. Moles appear from holes, the dog nudges its nose in the right place, whoosh: treats.
The reward should be issued automatically by the finished Joipaw. In the video, the master or mistress gives the snack, since it is a question of prototypes or operation on a PC monitor.
Of course, as gamers, we also appreciate animals in our favorite hobby:

Health as motivation
The inventors of Joipaw rely on the official site to scientific research underlying the development of the game console. That’s how dogs should be lead a more active life and learning. Stimulating brain activity is intended to counteract dementia at an early stage, for example. But of course the games should also be fun.
The whole thing is reminiscent of the playing pigs that made headlines before. The idea came from the founders of Joipaw to keep their own animals busy while they didn’t have time themselves or were away from home on business.

Stray really is one of the most beautiful games of the year – and it’s really good too
Joipaw should come as a finished product with a mobile tracker for dogs and an app and be able to evaluate collected data and detect abnormalities in play behavior so owners can seek veterinary care if necessary.
Joipaw can be reserved in advance for 50 Hong Kong dollars (around 6 dollars). The fee will later be deducted from the purchase price. A price for the finished product and a date have not yet been mentioned.
