Elden Ring is considered one of the big winners of the Game Awards 2022, after all, the action epic won the most important category of Game of the Year. In the acceptance speech, the director then hinted at further planned content, much to the delight of the fans.
Most recently, the Colosseum update brought new game content for the action epic Elden Ring from the Dark Souls makers From Software. But it will probably not stay that way, because apparently further new content is planned for the winner of the Game of the Year award at the Game Awards 2022.
In any case, none other than Hidetaka Miyazaki hinted at the same. The director of the blockbuster took the stage during the awards ceremony by and with Geoff Keighley to thank him for the award in the king’s category. In doing so, he gave a very clear indication.
“We had to deal with so many difficulties while developing this game. As a director, I’m really relieved. And it may not be the right opportunity to say it at the Game of the Year awards , but I’ve been thinking about making other interesting games like this one,” says Miyazaki, before adding the passage that’s crucial for Elden Ring fans:
“As for Elden Ring, we have several other things planned that we want to do. Receiving this award really reinforces that.”
The director was initially not more specific. The current Coliseum update was focused on the PvP part of the game and brought three arenas and two game modes with it. However, this content update is far from being the end of the road.
