…What do you mean you’ve never fought a dragon before? Not a single one? Wait, you’re not a knight at all?… Well, let’s fix that then! Here is a list of duties a true knight should be able to perform with his eyes closed.
Defeat the dungeon
In order to make your way through the Dragon Castle and save the royal lineage, you must first deal with the dungeons. The dungeons are full of mysteries and dangers: they are made up of a series of rooms whose order changes with each run, so you never really know what lies ahead. Whether there’s a villain waiting around the corner, a clever trap, a tricky platforming section, or a long-awaited treasure trove, you better be on your guard.
Yes, you read that right Treasury. They can be skillful and brave, but unless you get yourself some decent loot, you’ll have a hard time dealing with the dungeon’s harshest ordeals. Several handy trinkets are scattered throughout the castle: smash props and keep an eye out for specific enemies to get your hands on. However, if you want to increase your chances of finding something valuable, you’ll need to look for the huge Treasure Rooms in each area. And if your eyes are sharp enough, you can spot ghost walls with something useful later behind them. Remember: Dungeon survival is a difficult task in itself, so appreciate any help that comes your way!
defeat beasts
You will encounter a variety of enemies on your way and it is your duty to be prepared to deal with them. Goblins, Slimes, Barrels and Dark Knights – they will all try hundreds of times to hinder your journey, so show them no mercy. However, much more dangerous enemies await you in the separate dungeon rooms – bosses. Bosses in Tower Princess are quite unique and deserve special attention. The first is an evil royal chef Pigomancer whose arena is basically a giant oven – watch your feet and don’t get roasted! The second is the Royal Fumigator, a mushroom in a jar with telekinesis, dressed in a leather suit infused with poisonous spores. And the third is the dragon, but… Well, never mind, you’ll see when the time comes.
No matter how brave you are, no one is asking you to fight your enemies with your bare hands. Choose a sharp sword if you want to slash everything around you, or grab a musket to keep your distance and avoid potential damage. Both weapons, as well as your armor, can be upgraded later, increasing your damage or health and also unlocking two special abilities for each weapon – if you use them regularly, you can turn the tables at the right time for sure!
rescue a princess
Rescuing a princess is the pinnacle of any knight’s journey, however tower princess do yourself a favor and let you experience this climax eight times, because there are eight princesses in the game! Choose between a capricious human princess, a charming zombie princess, an adventurous mermaid princess, a suspicious goblin princess or even a brave vampire prince – each of them has their own unique ability, and without their help you stand no chance of defeating the evil dragon. Different princesses specialize in different things: some can heal you, while others make your journey more enjoyable in other ways – learn the expertise of all princesses and make the most of them.
You can also give the princesses all sorts of gifts to win their favor. If your gifts are enough and they like it, it will improve their current ability or even unlock an additional passive power for them. A princess’s heart is certainly a mystery, but don’t worry: throughout your adventure, you’ll learn clues about each princess’ preferences, making the question of choosing a gift less of a hassle. These newly acquired passives and upgrades can be incredibly helpful at times, so don’t miss this opportunity and keep your princess happy to defeat evil together!
