According to the report of the usually well-informed colleagues, Amazon was recently in final talks with the license holders of Games Workshop to implement such a series for its Prime Video service. In the meantime, this is probably complete, because Cavill himself has now confirmed the series in a social media posting. It will star Cavill as a lead actor, but will also serve as the show’s executive producer. Incidentally, the planned Amazon project currently has no known showrunner or writer.
Such an appearance by Cavill should again – as with The Witcher – fit like a glove, because he is considered a long-time fan of the Warhammer universe. In the course of the corona pandemic, for example, he also published images of how he painted Warhammer miniature figures in great detail. Again this year he showed a video of his visit to Warhammer World at Games Workshop in Nottingham, UK.
