Superman actor Henry Cavill has recently won many fans for his role as the witch Geralt in the Netflix series “The Witcher”. There he is known to be leaving after season 3, in return his latest project has now become public.
Fans of The Witcher were less than thrilled after it was announced that Henryl Cavill will be replaced as Geralt in the Netflix series after the forthcoming third season. A fourth season of the TV series was confirmed at the same time, but fans have to get used to the main actor noticeably.
A comeback of the actor as Superman was recently ruled out, since this role is to be filled in the course of a reboot. So why is Cavill so short on The Witcher schedule in the first place? The answer to this question may now be available!
As The Hollywood Reporter It has now been reported that Henry Cavill will increasingly devote himself to the Warhammer 40,000 universe, which is also very well known in the gaming sector. For Amazon, Cavill is said to be instrumental in designing a TV series based on this franchise.
According to the report of the usually well-informed colleagues, Amazon was recently in final talks with the license holders of Games Workshop to implement such a series for its Prime Video service. In the meantime, this is probably complete, because Cavill himself has now confirmed the series in a social media posting. It will star Cavill as a lead actor, but will also serve as the show’s executive producer. Incidentally, the planned Amazon project currently has no known showrunner or writer.
Such an appearance by Cavill should again – as with The Witcher – fit like a glove, because he is considered a long-time fan of the Warhammer universe. In the course of the corona pandemic, for example, he also published images of how he painted Warhammer miniature figures in great detail. Again this year he showed a video of his visit to Warhammer World at Games Workshop in Nottingham, UK.
While the Warhammer project may still take some time, Cavill is reported to have plenty of other things to do. Among other things, he is planned in the two spy films “Argylle” by Kingsman director Matthew Vaughn and “The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare” by Guy Ritchie.
