Squanch Games has apparently hit the mark with the somewhat crazy sci-fi shooter High On Life, because the game turns out to be extremely popular, especially in Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass subscription model. High On Life is certainly the most popular game there at the moment, but it doesn’t stop there.
Microsoft has now confirmed that the release is the largest launch of a third-party game ever in the history of Game Pass – and that’s saying something. But that’s not the end of the record front: It’s also the biggest single-player launch in Game Pass of all time, including the first-party games from Microsoft. This statement can already be made based on the hours played in the first five days since the release.
In the Game Pass, the game from Squanch Games holds its own against other top titles such as LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, Minecraft, FIFA 22, Forza Horizon 5 or Halo Infinite in terms of current popularity.
