We’ve been talking to you for a few months about Matter, the new universal connection protocol that is revolutionizing home automation. No more searching for bulbs, plugs or any other smart gadget compatible with HomeKit, Alexa or Google Home, Matter is here to make all devices compatible with each other. Manufacturers must integrate this new protocol and now Amazon just updated its Echo speakers to make them compatible with Matter
Also remember that iOS 16 has also become compatible with Matter, so that very soon we will be able to control all the smart devices in our home through any of our devices. Also, what is interesting is that Matter allows local connection so that we can forget about clouds or connection hubs. as you are told, Amazon has updated 17 of its Echo devices:
- Echo Dot (5th Gen)
- Echo Dot with Clock (5th Gen)
- Echo Dot (4th Gen)
- Echo Dot with Clock (4th Gen)
- Echo Dot (3rd Gen, 2018)
- Echo Dot with Clock (3rd Gen, 2018)
- Echo (4th Generation)
- Echo Studio
- Echo (v3)

- echo show 8
- Echo Show 10 (3rd Gen)
