The Bleaching Phenomenon
It is not surprising to find the anime series that will follow in 2022 at the top of the charts. I have to say that His return has been long awaited by fans who wanted to get beyond the paperwork to witness the final arc of Bleach on the small screen. Launched in 2004 under the auspices of Pierrot Studios, the anime adaptation of the manga written and drawn by Tite Kubo ended abruptly in 2012 after 366 episodes. The loss of momentum of the Bleach franchise in the early 2010s is believed to be the cause.
10 years later, on October 11, 2022 to be exact, Ichigo Kurosaki and Soul Society make a stunning return to TV Tokyo in Japan and Hulu in the United States. As a matter of fact, Disney+ has secured the western rights to Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War.
2022, an exceptional year
2022 was a crazy year for Japanimation. Aside from the theatrical releases of Jujutsu Kaisen 0, Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero and One Piece Red, which have been paused in the past 12 months, the studios have made it clear to fans that we’re into Japanese animated series. It would be tedious to list all the anime that marked 2022 here because there were so many of them. However, we must say hello Attack on Titan final season part 2 (8.78/10), kingdom season 4 (8.76) and of course Part 3 of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean (8.85). I personally would quote Cyberpunk: Edgerunner, Blue Castle, Golden Kamui etc Spy x family party 1 and 2 !
