Netflix recently found success with the animated series Sonic Prime. Not all episodes of Sonic Prime have been released yet, but in the meantime, there is one more show that players can look forward to in the future. The Assassin’s Creed series is in the works. However, there has been a new update regarding the team producing the series.
You see, Collider’s Steven Weintraub spoke with showrunner Jeb Stuart. During an interview focused on the second season of Vikings: Valhalla, Stuart was asked about Assassin’s Creed. Stuart confirmed that he is “no longer involved” in the project.
As for why this happened, Weintraub asked Stuart about it. Stuart said that “I think it was a bit of an executive move from LA to London, and it enabled the London group which unfortunately had to inherit my vision of what it was instead of developing their own vision”. With all that said, there appears to be no bad blood between the parties involved. In fact, Stuart even mentions that “I know it’s going to be great whenever it comes out. I think the guys at Ubisoft are fantastic. I think it’s a great franchise. It was just a good, common time to move on for both sides”.
