Despite all the complaining: Diablo Immortal is flourishing and it is not surprising that Blizzard has a lot in the pipeline for the new year. Now there were first glimpses of what awaits us in 2023.
Although the feedback on Diablo Immortal was not exactly positive, the microtransactions in particular were criticized. Nevertheless, the mobile offshoot, which can also be played on the PC, is extremely successful and is constantly getting new content. on Reddit
As already started in 2022, there will be quarterly, extensive updates again in 2023. The same should include improvements for clans, social functions in the game and gameplay, but also introduce a new class and new hell bosses.
Also planned are narrative extensions in the form of new main quest lines and side quests. New legendary items are designed to expand the options for your character builds. There is also a new competition mode and fishing is also mentioned as a side activity.
So it seems that fans can look forward to a lot of new content. But that will probably change little about the controversy surrounding the game. PC gamers in particular continue to be upset about the game’s monetization – the PC version has received scathing user ratings on Metacritic. The situation is very different on iOS and Android, where mobile players are used to these types of monetization. Both in the App Store and on Google Play, the user ratings are well above 4 out of 5 points.
