On March 16, Anno 1800 will also be released for consoles as the first part of the series. Of course, this raises a few questions that Ubisoft has now answered in an FAQ.

The console version should also contain all the content of the PC version including the published free DLCs. The first nine paid DLCs will be available for purchase upon release. Only the dragon garden package along with three other planned DLCs will come later. A season pass for the console version is currently not planned.
Further DLCs are apparently not to be expected, Ubisoft has already s topped further development of DLCs for the PC version of Anno 1800, which should not be due to the console version. The FAQ also indicates that a small part of the team is already working on the concept phase for a new project.
The developers also comment on cross-play and cross-progression. Accordingly, there will be multiplayer matches for up to 16 players and a co-op mode with up to four players per team, but only within the same platform. Cross-play is therefore not planned. But there is cross-progression between Playstation and Xbox – so your progress applies to both platform versions.
As far as the controls are concerned, Anno 1800 has adapted interfaces and controller control, mouse and keyboard support is not planned, and controller control for the PC version is also not planned. In view of the refresh rates, the news is rather disappointing: the console edition has a frame rate of 30 FPS on all consoles.
